Students at Berea College Eat-in for Real Food

tablingBerea, KY - On Tuesday, September 23, students at Berea College gathered on the patio outside the Alumni Building to raise awareness about the benefits and needs for Local and Fair Trade products in Food Service and the Crossroads Café.  Serving salsa prepared from fresh ingredients from the Berea Farmers' Market, the students advertised the location of the market and encouraged people to sign a petition to promote more local and fair trade products.  Representatives from HEAL (Healing the Earth and Learning), Oxfam, Bereans for Appalachia, and the Local Foods Initiative helped run the tabling session.
