National Team
National Administrative Team
Comprised of both students and Real Food Challenge staff, the Administrative Team (known as the "A-team") forms the nucleus of the Real Food Challenge. With a bird’s eye view of RFC’s many national, regional and local initiatives, A-teamers make the day-to-day decisions that keep the campaign and network rolling.
What you’ll do:
· Go deep into campaign strategy discussions 

· Recruit, hire and support Grassroots Leaders and Field Organizers around the country
· Chair National Working Groups (see below),
· Hone you public speaking, fundraising, and facilitation skills
· Act as a bridge to other prominent organizations and individuals in the food movement
· And more!
What we're looking for:
· Ability to consistently commit at least 7 hrs of work a week
· Participation in weekly A-Team conference calls
· Passion for food systems change and the growing youth food movement
· Commitment to economic justice, anti-racism, student power and contributing to the movement
· Demonstrated leadership and organizing experience
· Ability to work reliably on your own as well as in a very collaborative setting
· Flexibility and ability to adjust to new situations
· Creativity and initiative in problem solving
· Willingness to learn from experts in the field, peer organizers, and grow as a leader
This is a volunteer position. We are more than happy to help you get academic or internship/service credit for your work.

National Working Groups:
Working Groups are teams of interested leaders from different schools around the country who talk regularly about important issues and develop needed resources for the student food movement.
Currently, we’re recruiting for the following Working Groups (others will be convened on an as-needed basis):
Action Resources and Materials—what tools have you used in your real food work? What materials (petitions, guides, fact sheets) do you wish you had?Real Food Calculator—What counts as ‘real food’? How can we make this tracking tool the industry standard?
Real Food Campus Commitment—How can we get college presidents to get real about real food?
Alumni Leadership—What happens after graduation? How can we stay active and involved in the movement?
Collective Liberation/Anti-Oppression—How do we best support the leadership, voices and good work of traditionally marginalized group within our network, and within the movement?
National Conference—We’ll get together in January 2012…Help make it happen.
