Southeast Summer Leadership Training (North Carolina)
What: RFC's Southeast Youth Grassroots Activist Training!
Where: Chapel Hill, NC. The training will be on UNC Chapel Hill's campus. Once you register, you'll get more information about lodging and where to meet on campus.
When: September 3rd-5th
Who: In partnership with the Rural Advancement Foundation International, the RFC is inviting student activists, youth organizers, and young professionals from across the Southeast to one of RFC's first-ever leadership training in the South. This skills based training is geared towards activists who already understand the issues, and now want to put their knowledge into action. We will discuss effective campaign strategies, how to engage administrators, and tools for building a grassroots movement in your community.
Why: Because, as young activists, we need to connect to each other and engage with organizing tools to make change. This training will provide a unique opportunity for students to learn from one another and from experienced organizers working with the RFC.
How: Register NOW! Don't wait to register--the training is limited to about 25 students, and spots fill up FAST!
The training only costs $35 for food, lodging, and programming. A limited number of scholarships are available!
