Organizational Structure

Administrative Team: Also called the “A-team,” they are the small core group (5-7 people) responsible for the day-to-day operations of the campaign. Like the trunk of the tree, they provide support and structure.  Apply to become a member of the Real Food Challenge Administrative Team.

Steering Committee: The Steering Committee is comprised of students and representatives from partner organizations, such as United Students for Fair Trade, Student/Farmworker Alliance, and Slow Food (see a full list of partners here). Like the roots of a tree, they provide strategic direction and nourishment for the campaign. Apply to become a member of the Real Food Challenge Steering Committee.

Regional Field Organizers: The field organizers are the branches of the tree, extending the network and providing support to students running campaigns on campus. They also act as liaisons between the A-team and student leaders.  Apply to become a Regional Field Organizer.

School Liaisons: These are the all the students doing work on campus who are connected to the network, producing the fruits (the real food).

Advisory Committee: They are the watering can, providing crucial advice and insight on the campaign goals and strategy while helping to broadcast and connect our work to wider audiences.
