PAST EVENTS
Month of Action: in October of 2008, students across the country held events on their campus to show their support for Real Food Now, which officially launched the Real Food Challenge Campaign.
Real Food Summits 2009: This past February and March, the Real Food Challenge hosted 5 regional summits, providing students with skills, connections, and action plans for change on their campus.
350.org International Day of Action on October 24th, 2009: The Real Food Challenge teamed up with Slow Food to combat climate change by joining 350.org's international campaign. On October 24th, people all around the world hosted an action and took a picture, which were sent to climate negotiations in Copenhagen. Together we sent the message that food and climate change are inextricably linked, and we want bold action now.
